The partner network

When we say a Seven Seas Guarantee claim can be made in any port, this is the thing that makes it true. The network is 61 independent chandleries across the 14 countries we ship to, each of which can identify one of our serial plates and start a claim on our behalf.

What a partner can do

Take in a Tidebreaker or a Gullwing, photograph the plate and the fault, and send both to us — that is the whole claim, and it is the same procedure described on warranty claims. Partners hold consumable spares for both product lines: gaskets, pivots, bezels, deck switches. Anything deeper comes back to Pelican Quay, because the gearbox and the swing table are here and nowhere else.

A partner is not an Acme branch and does not set our prices. They are independent businesses who agreed to handle our warranty work; most of them sell three other brands of winch alongside ours.

How a chandlery joins

Somebody from the yard comes here for two days and learns to read the plates, strip a gypsy, and tell a worn pivot from a failed seal. We pay their travel. There is no fee either way and no exclusivity — we have never asked a partner to stop stocking a competitor, and we would not get one if we did. In return they get parts at cost and a phone number that reaches Maren rather than a queue.

We add perhaps four a year and turn down more than we accept. The test is whether the yard is still going to be there in seven years, because that is how long the guarantee runs.

Finding your nearest one

Ask us — on the VHF, or at the counter, details on Contact. We do not publish the list, because it changes a few times a year and a stale list sends somebody to a yard that closed. Tell us the port and we will give you a name and a number the same day.

What if there is no partner where I am?

Then send it here and we pay the freight both ways on a warranty repair, the same as we would from three streets away. Our own dispatch runs and international freight are on the Shipping FAQ and international orders. The guarantee is honoured in any port whether or not there is a partner in it — the network makes the claim faster, it is not a condition of it.
